About me
My name is Nathalia, I am a student and I live in Brazil. I have brown eyes, and brown hair and I’m 1,60m tall. My father is Brazilian, and my mother is French-Brazilian, so I also have those two nationalities, and I speak both languages. But they are not the only one I can speak. I speak English, a bit of Spanish, and I’m trying to learn Japanese, but it’s a bit difficult without classes.Japanese it’s really a language from another world. There are many rules, and many ways to say a word for different situations. But one of my dreams is to learn this language. Because I’m fond of Japan, I love it very much.Everything from there fascinates me. Like the culture, the music (Japanese rock, and a bit of pop), the country itself, the language, the draws (mangá, anime), the people, the food…My favorite place here in São Paulo, is “Liberdade”. It is a neighborhood where you can find lot of Asian things, Japanese, Chinese and Korean food, objects to buy, movies, CD’s, DVD’s… It is somewhere with a lot of meaning to me because it was there where I have known the best people I know today. We always get out together and I feel very comfortable with them because I’m far from the persons I dislike.I feel very happy when I can make people happy, and when I get inspiration to do something new, like: writing a new story, drawing something new, or preparing something different with the clothes I have.I’m keen on making new “visuals” or decorer. I take inspiration from “J-Rockers” (the Japanese Rockers) and of the japanese street fashion, because I think their way to dress is very original, and mostly the girls in Japan do this, and I’m obsessed with it. But unfortunately, sometimes I really want to do a new cloth, or cut my hair, and most of times I don’t have money, so I have to wait 1/2 or even 3 months to do it. I need to save my money, and then I can do it.
Doing “visuals” (or decorer) here in Brazil it’s not very easy. Finding the clothes you want, with the details you need, it’s impossible. Normally, it’s easier to make it. Sometimes you may think it will be too expensive, but most of time it is not. However it depends who you call to make it. Last time (and the only time I did it) I think the cloth I asked for cost what it needed to cost, so it was ok.I get annoyed when I can’t go out on Saturdays. It’s already a ritual; I’m never home on Saturdays. Or, if I’m home, I go out on Sundays. Only if something really important happened or if my father punishes me. But I always try to be a good girl, because I think it is a good way to live. Doing right stuff you get other right stuff, so it’s good for everyone.There are many things I would like to learn, but I think I’m going to learn them alone. Because they are from life, things you can’t have class to learn it. But if I could, I would like to learn playing the bass, speaking Japanese and I think it’s all. Bass it’s an instrument very… Fascinating, it makes sound terribly… I mean… Basses are not so easy to hear in songs, but when you listen to a solo bass, or if you can listen to it, because it is very important for the music, or if the song starts with a bass, for me, it is very awesome.I can say that I’m good at drawing, because I love it, and normally I enjoy the draws I do. My father always tells me that in the future, I should do something with clothes. I want to. I’m really interested on clothes, you can do anything for a cloth, and I love to draw that.
I can’t stand drugs. I know what I’m talking about, drugs really ends with someone’s life. If I ruled the world, I’ll ban drugs, I don’t know how, but I’ll do it.
There are still many people who use drugs, and this is really not good… I don’t understand why someone created something so bad for people. Those who use drugs may think it is good because they feel they are “in clouds” or whatever, but they’re not.
I think there are so many other ways to feel well, to feel happy, and even in “clouds”. It’s just something about happiness. I mean, when you are very happy, you don’t need anything to make you happier, and you don’t need to fly, or to be in clouds, you are already there, in your mind, the moment makes it.Colors… Colors are what they are. But they are special. I don’t have any favorite color. I used to love black, but now I see that almost all the colors are beautiful and can make special effects in every day life. I just don’t enjoy green and orange very much because I don’t know how to use them.
To get interested in something, I need to know how to use it, for which situation, and who with. Talking about material things, obviously.Being invisible for a day would be interesting. There are so many things you can do if you are invisible. If I was, just for a day, I would walk around São Paulo at night, I would like to see the dangerous places, and I would try to understand why is that, why are those places so dangerous, and why do people do those dangerous things.
One of my favorite pastimes is to rehearse with my band. It is called “Chi no michi” and we’ve really started just at the beginning of the year. I sing on my band, but in free hours I play the guitar, that I like very much, but I prefer singing. I hope soon we’ll have some videos to put here for you to listen the songs we play.
